Student Handbook - Rules and Regulations
Greetings and felicitations, intrepid adventurers!
My students! I, Instructor Guilus, was instructed to provide you all with the rules and regulations of our current school year's Student Handbook!
Well, let's not wait, let us begin with:
(NEW) GENERAL D&D MECHANICS
- Quickened Health Potions. Health Potions now cost a bonus action rather than an action.
- Cleave. Melee attacks that kill an enemy can hit another enemy adjacent to it (5ft., even if the weapon has a reach of 10ft.). Roll another attack roll and, if it hits, it takes half the damage - the enemy's DEX modifier.
- No Low HP. Natural 1s are required to be re-rolled for HP.
- Infinite-use Sending Stones. As a student of Strixhaven, you will be required to communicate with your newfound adventuring party. As such, you will be provided sending stones for constant back-and-forths whilst on-campus. However, stepping foot outside of the campus will turn the stones into nonmagical rocks until you return.
- Bardic Reaction. Bardic Inspiration can now be cast as a reaction to a failed check during non-combat scenarios. Similar to 5.5E's Guidance.
- Proficient Advantage. You can only provide advantage via Help if you are proficient or have expertise in the skill required.
- Cinematic Advantage. If the DM thinks its cool, it either just passes or you gain advantage.
- Euphoric. This new condition grants the affected individual advantage on saving throws against being Frightened, as well as being able to reroll an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check once. This lasts until a Long Rest.
